The Mandrem Side Table: Bringing a Piece of Goa Home
 
This table is personal. It's an ode to Mandrem, a small, quiet coastal town in Goa where my grandfather grew up. 
 
We crafted the entire piece from pale, beautiful natural travertine, using a clean, modern cylindrical base. But the real heart of the design is the top. While the surface is smooth, the outer edge features a beaded rim, a ring of small, hand-polished travertine spheres.
 
To me, that rim is the most evocative part. It abstracts the coastline, mimicking the way a calm wave breaks, leaving behind a delicate line of white sea foam and small, rounded stones. It's a subtle, beautiful texture that grounds the table in its coastal inspiration.
